Milo and Merritt have been out of town all week in Colorado on a ski trip with Merritt's Family: Marty, Kim, Rodney, Lulu and Jackson, Matt, April, Davis and Reese. Milo did well on the flight out to Colorado but was a little overwhelmed once he got there. He wasn't the biggest fan of daycare but braved it the best he could. His best day was when Marty babysat him for the day, they had a great time together and he was very happy. They're on their way back today and I pick them up from the airport this afternoon. Dada has missed them both. A LOT.

Recently we visited Tiffany and Paul and their children Jack and Ava. Jack and Ava were quite enamored with Milo and Milo was pleased with all the attention. Usually when he meets bigger kids on the playground they either ignore him or bowl him over. So it was a nice change of pace to actually play with big kids. The Belzers are awesome.

The next day we went to Irene and Steve's house to meet their latest addition Sophie Claire! Big sister Charlotte had a cold and would very politely cover her cough with an arm. Milo immediately started copying her even if it meant faking the cough. Again he was very excited to play with someone who was older and had a great time. Unfortunately we forgot our camera and don't have photos to show.

At the dinner table Merritt was describing their morning and how she was doing yoga with Milo. Milo looked up and said, "Down dog." Merritt replied, "That's right, Milo. Downward dog."

Milo woke up one morning and he started playing with his Elmo doll. He would jump up and down in the crib and then he'd animate Elmo jumping up and down. After Merritt got him out of the crib, he went over to the rocking chair with Elmo and sat with Elmo in his lap to read a book. "Mama read Elmo." Merritt read a book to Milo and Elmo and when the book asked 'Can you see the umbrella?' Milo would take Elmo's hand and point to the umbrella on the page.
